Behjou Health Promotion and Prevention Clinic

About Behjou

Behjou Clinic believes that if preventive measures, forecasting, risk reduction, and hazard management are tailored to each individual (Personalized) and carried out with personal involvement (Participatory) in an integrated manner (Integrated), the need for treatment—especially inpatient care—will be significantly reduced. The founders, after years of study, research, and work within the healthcare system, recognized that the main issue in Iran’s healthcare system is the lack of a comprehensive program for maintaining health.

At Behjou Clinic, we strive to connect the links in the service delivery chain in a way that benefits individual health—health that is often achieved in hospitals at a high cost and with the suffering of illness, or may never be fully realized.

Looking at changes in disease patterns, on one hand, the control of infectious diseases and the increase in health care have raised life expectancy in Iran and worldwide. On the other hand, lifestyle changes have led to a higher prevalence of chronic and non-communicable diseases and their complications, such as diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, and mental health issues like depression and anxiety. Living for many years with these conditions has consequently reduced the overall well-being of individuals and families.

Behjou Clinic adds a significant value to the current health system. Our work does not rely on complex technology or equipment that may be accessible one day and unavailable the next. At Behjou Clinic, we reduce members’ dependence on foreign resources by utilizing domestic capacities. Our “domestic resources” consist of safeguarding individual health through Iran’s rich medical knowledge, forming a self-learning, self-correcting system grounded in collective wisdom.
